Collecting and Displaying Data: A Primer on Profiles
When using PowerBase, one of the first words you'll learn hear is profiles. A profile is at its basic level a set of fields. Profiles are used in event registrations, petitions, contributions, newsletter sign-ups, etc. Actually, if you sign up for this training you'll be using a profile!
In this session we will cover:
Understanding the basics of profiles: collecting data that's useful to your organizing/organizational goals using profiles
Setting up a profile to collect data
Setting up a profile to display data
This is a free event for those interested in learning more about the database tool for community organizers, PowerBase.
PowerBase is a web-based platform and is accessible by multiple people in multiple sites at the same time. PowerBase does all this:
Manage organizing campaigns in the same way organizers do their work
Track member involvement and leadership development over time
Track relationships with allies, volunteers, donors, media, etc.
Accept and track online donations
Organize and manage phone banks and door knocking efforts
Send mass emails to supporters
Link contacts with voter files
Track voter contacts
Track event signups and attendance
Integrate registration and signup pages with your organization’s website
Are there staff in your organization that need to get familiar with the basics of PowerBase? Give them the opportunity to get started on the right foot with a basic training of PowerBase features that's specifically designed for new staff.
They'll be able to navigate PowerBase and do most kinds of data entry after this training, including:
