Goal: To create a welcoming an open environment for sharing.
Objective:
· Welcome participants; introductions; ice-breaker
· Introduce PTP and frame of organizing, technology, strategic thinking and planning
· Lay out training, design and group participation objectives, and review agenda


II. Organizing for Change: Technology Strategies
Goal: To share examples of how groups are using technology to further organizing.
Objective:
· Presentation of PTP groups who have used technology in organizing.
· Exercise for participant to share their experiences with each other.

III. Break

IV. Assessment and Planning (A&P) and its importance?
Goal: Offer a framework for participants to carry out technology A&P at their organizations.
Objective:
· Presentation of elements of A&P.
· Q&A about overall planning and technology specific A&P.

V: Lunch

VI: Assessment and Planning In Progress
Goal: To practice A&P skills that can be integrated into organization's work.
Objective:
· Exercise for attendees to grasp concepts and relevance of A&P.
· Debrief of exercise and Q&A.

VII: Break

VIII: Exploring Resources Needed for Technology Usage
Goal: To share how groups can maintain and get maximum benefit from their technology tools.
Objective:
· Group exercise focused on different areas of resources.
· Debrief of exercise and Q&A.

IX. Fundraising
Goal: To give a broad overview of fundraising tactics and resources
Objectives:
· Share philanthropic landscape as it related to foundations' relationship to technology
· Cover tips for technology fundraising
· Explain characteristics of technology proposal
· Practice meeting with a program officer regarding organizations' technology needs

X: Evaluation and Closing
Goal: To evaluate the effectiveness of the training and how helpful it was to attendees
Objective:
· Individual written evaluation.
· Group exercise evaluation.
